.........Taking Your Place.........
There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men . . The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body . . . Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. (1 Corinthians 12:4, 12, 27). Are you taking your place along with your brothers and sisters in Christ to bring the good news of forgiveness and overflowing eternal life to the world? People are in need of the living water to quench the fire of destruction that rules their lives. Only their trust in Jesus will provide this living water.

We all have a place to take in seeing that the world hears about Jesus. We all are important to God’s Kingdom taking root in the hearts of individuals. “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?” This year our focus is on taking our place in living for Christ. We will learn, we will care; we will go and we will share Jesus Christ through our lives. It is not we who live but Christ who lives in us!

What God expects of His People

For each of us to be more and more like Jesus Christ (Matthew 22:36-40)
●For worshiping God to be our number one priority (Psalm 2:11; Matthew 2:2, 8-11; 28:17; Revelation 4)
●For us to reach as many people for Christ as possible, locally and globally (Matthew 24:14; 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 9:19-23)

●To make preaching and teaching God’s Word central in making disciples ((John 17:17-18; Colossians 1:28-29; 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
●To have a “Kingdom Vision” for ministry (Matthew 4:23, 6:33; 24:14; Acts 8:12)
●To be faithful stewards of all God’s resources (Malachi #:8-10; Matthew 6:19-24)
●For every member to be a

servant minister (Matthew 20:27-28)
●To talk to God in Prayer: Power for living and power for service comes through prayer (Matthew 6:9-13; Luke 19:46; Romans8:26-27)

Praise
Him!

Mission and Ministry Team

Arlington Baptist Church is now prayerfully wrapping, preparing and packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child with items that children all over the world NEED and some that they can just plain ENJOY. Our God is good. What better way for the Truth of our God to be presented to these children and their families along with these necessities of life. Jesus Christ is the Author of kindness and gentleness. Thanks be to Him that he does not leave us in our ignorance and gives us firm Truth, His truth, we can count on. What a gift to be able to enter someone’s life with the HOPE that is available to them from the God that created them. Join us.

STEWARDSHIP MOMENT!

Talking about stewardship is kind of like going to the doctor for an examination. The doctor pokes and listens to what is going on in your body. When the doctor touches a place that is sensitive, the patient is likely to jump or let out an “ouch”. Some Christians are sensitive when the matter of stewardship is addressed. But the fact is Christ talked a lot about stewardship in the Bible. So if Christ is our personal Savior, if we have offered to give our all to him, why should we be sensitive about checking up on the condition of our stewardship? Don’t we need to have our spiritual health examined occasionally just as we do our physical health? Being a worthy steward is what we should all want to be!    Our Lord, may all that we are and all that we have be used for your glory and the spread of your Kingdom on Earth. AMEN

Processes, programs and preparations are meaningless to the work of God unless He is the Initiator of the work. We follow His leading as He lives out His life through those who belong to Him. We seek to follow Him in His work through Arlington Baptist Church as we worship Him, grow to become more like Him, prepare and go to reach others, and serve each other and everyone else. Prayer, Bible study, and the indwelling Holy Spirit is our connection with God. Please pray, please study God’s Word, please follow His leading.
