DEACONS

(1) Men called to serve with the pastor and staff in leading the church in the achievement of its mission according to the New Testament:      (a) peacekeepers and (b) pastoral ministry (Acts 6:1-6), and proclaiming the gospel to believers and unbelievers (Acts 7).

(2) Deacons are to be committed to active participation through the Deacon Family Ministry, which includes contacting families on a regular basis, visiting with them during family deaths, illnesses, and other crises.

(3) Deacons should be in support of all activities of the church and be in attendance on Sunday morning, Sunday night and Wednesday night. Deacons must set the example for others to follow.
